הָיְתָה גְבוֹהָה מִן הָאָרֶץ טֶפַח, טֻמְאָה תַחְתֶּיהָ אוֹ בַבַּיִת אוֹ עַל גַּבָּהּ, הַכֹּל טָמֵא, אֶלָּא תוֹכָהּ. בְּתוֹכָהּ, הַכֹּל טָמֵא:

If it [the basket] was a <i>tefach</i> (hand-breadth) above the ground and there was impurity under it or in the house or on top of it, everything is impure except for its inside. [If the impurity was] inside it, everything is impure.
